MSMEC Educational Foundation

2025 SCHOLARSHIPS

Mora-San Miguel Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MSMEC) would like to announce it is now accepting applications for scholarships from students in our service area who will be graduating from High School and desire to further their education by attending a college or university.

MSMEC sponsors the “Frank R. Rodriguez Jr. Memorial Scholarship” honoring a former MSMEC employee who lost his life in the line of duty while serving our consumers on November 16, 1991.  

MSMEC also sponsors the “Robert M. Quintana Memorial Scholarship” in remembrance of a Board President who passed away on January 10, 2021.

In partnership with Tri-State Generation and Transmission, our power supplier, MSMEC offers this scholarship to funds expense towards books, tuition, and or room and board.

Graduating seniors are encouraged to apply for these scholarships. Seniors applying shall graduate from a High School located in MSMEC service territory. The senior’s parent(s) shall be active Members of MSMEC. The senior shall submit a MSMEC Scholarship Application to the MSMEC office located in Mora.

The MSMEC Educational Foundation Board shall select Scholarship Recipients in accordance with its Educational Foundation Scholarship Program guidelines. Students selected will be announced at a MSMEC Board meeting.

MSMEC ENCOURAGES TEACHERS AND PARENTS TO GET THE WORD OUT. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR CLASS MEMBERS GRADUATING IN 2025. Deadline to apply is April 17, 2025.
